From the day my parents got the letter saying I'd got a place until the day I left, my time at high school was happy. Don't get me wrong, I was no great shakes in the studying department; it was one long social event as far as I was concerned! My younger brother and sister followed after me and my two sons attended long after we'd all left. I even went on to work there before my reincarnation as a provider of sweet treats.
Now as Notre Dame celebrates it's 150th birthday with a celebration garden party today two thoughts fill my head.
1. Any school that has survived the onslaught of five members of the Keating/Falgate clan deserves to celebrate.
2. How proud I feel at having been selected to make the birthday cakes for the party.
With more than....
8 dozen Eggs
13kg Icing sugar
.........I hope they go down well.
Happy birthday Notre Dame.
